Many of our employees in the south, especially Texas, have had a very tough week and still have
some difficult days ahead. If any of you need assistance with food or home repairs or other basics, or know an employee who needs help, please let your supervisor know and we will do everything we can to assist. Warmer weather is being forecast but that might present some additional challenges as well so we need to be prepared to help our fellow co-workers over the next few weeks. I also want you to keep the following in mind: COVID-19 Vaccination Planning I believe we are close to Category 1 c, Critical Infrastructure Essential Worker vaccination in most states. Please be sure you are registered with your local county or health department and remember your Essential Worker documentation is on our website. Wearing Masks As another sign of progress in the fight against this virus, many states are relaxing or eliminating the requirement to wear a mask. However, Rescar and AllTranstek are not modifying our policy. I think it is still important that we continue with all our COVID-19 safety protocols for the time being. The requirement to wear a mask when you cannot social distance and maintain 6’ between you and another person, when in common office areas, when more than 1 person is in a truck, and when more than one person is in an office, remains in place. We also want you to remember to wash your hands frequently and be sure to monitor your health and stay home if you are sick or have a fever of 100.4° or higher. I can assure you we want to get back to normal and will relax requirements as soon as it is safe to do so, but that time is not now. Thinking Green For those of you getting direct deposit, we are going to “go paperless” when it comes to paystubs. Issuing paper paystubs is environmentally and economically wasteful when this information is available to you electronically through our payroll provider, Paychex. In the next few weeks, we will stop issuing written pay stubs to all employees receiving direct deposit. If you have not done so already, you can create an account at https://www.paychex.com/login and you will have easy access to your paystub and other helpful payroll and tax information. If any of you does not have access to a computer or smart phone, or otherwise are having difficulty, please let your supervisor know and we can make other arrangements for you. Those employees receiving a paper paycheck can also sign up for a Paychex account. We’ve started 2021 safe and strong. Keep up the good work. Thank you. - Joseph F. Schieszler, Jr., CEO
