Larry is responsible for tank qualification and maintenance procedures, reliability studies and analysis, technical support for fleet administration services,and advising customers on regulatory concerns and inspection intervals. He organizes training classes for tank car valve rebuilding and application and hazardous materials loading and unloading.
Larry belongs to several industry organizations including the Association of American Railroads Tank Car Committee (chair and participate on task forces), The Chlorine Institute (voting member of the Transportation Issue Team and moderator of Transportation Forum), and the FRA Railroad Safety Advisory Committee. In 1996, Larry was issued a patent for Stem Seal Configuration for Ball Valves, 5,577,709.
